Artist's Comments
This summer I'm working as a theatre usher at the local amusement park. Sometimes I get to work at the magic show, and that's actually fun ^^ (MOST of the time). So, I was inspired to draw a picture of Zatanna. Why? Because she's cool, and her costume actually has something to do with her powers (magic and whatnot).
I thought about doing a background, but I was just too darn lazy and didn't want to break out the brushes. I never thought that I would be using this much solid black in any of my work. I always assumed that the colorists would do that stuff for me. I have since learned that you can't rely on colorists to do the work for you. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
